Terms of use
The short version: you buy a one-off pass, nothing renews, and if Meraki isn't for you, tell us within 7 days for a full refund.
1. Who we are
Meraki ("we", "us") runs the website and app at merakileaders.com. You can contact us at the support email shown on your Stripe receipt.
2. What Meraki is, and isn't
- Meraki is a career-preparation tool for school leaders: a vacancy feed (Compass), letter feedback (Studio) and interview practice (Workshop).
- We are not a recruitment agency. We don't represent you to schools, send your details to anyone or guarantee an interview or a job.
- Vacancies are gathered from public listings. Dates, details and availability can change, so always check the original posting before you apply.
- Compass shows only basic facts about each role (school, title, location and dates) and links to the original posting. If you run a site or school whose listings appear in Compass and would like them removed, contact us and we will remove them promptly.
- Feedback is generated by AI. It can be wrong or incomplete, and it is no substitute for your own judgement or advice from people who know you.
3. Passes, credits and fair use
- A Search Pass gives access for the period you choose (1, 2 or 3 months) from the moment of purchase. It does not renew and you won't be charged again.
- Advanced credits are used one per Advanced read and do not expire while Meraki operates.
- Passes include unlimited everyday use within a fair-use limit (currently 60 AI reads per day per pass) to protect the service from misuse.
- Free trial codes give temporary access, may include a small number of Advanced uses and can be withdrawn at any time.
- Your access code is like a ticket. Keep it private: anyone with it can use your pass. A code shared widely may be suspended.
4. Paying
Payments are processed by Stripe. For some purchases Stripe may act as the reseller or merchant of record, in which case Stripe's own terms of sale also apply and the receipt will say so. Prices are in pounds sterling and include any sales tax Stripe calculates for your country.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Our promise: if Meraki isn't right for you, email us within 7 days of purchase and we'll refund your pass or credits in full. No forms and no questions beyond what we need to find your payment.
- Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service. Because access starts as soon as you pay, you ask when buying for the service to begin immediately, and that ends the 14-day cancellation right. Our 7-day refund promise above applies instead.
- If something doesn't work as described, tell us and we'll fix it or refund you. Your legal rights for faulty digital content are not affected.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 working days.
6. Using Meraki fairly
Please don't share or resell access codes, scrape or copy the vacancy feed or question bank, try to get around usage limits, or submit anything unlawful or anyone else's confidential information. We may suspend access that breaks these rules; if we do so without good reason, we'll refund the unused part of your pass.
7. Your content
Letters, answers and recordings you add stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to produce your feedback, as described in our privacy notice. Don't include information about other people that they wouldn't expect you to share.
8. Our content
The app, its design and the interview question bank belong to Meraki. Questions are drawn from real panels and anonymised; any resemblance to a particular interview is not a claim about that school.
9. Responsibility
We work hard to keep Meraki accurate and available but can't promise it will always be either. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on listings or feedback, or for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you buy applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law that can't be excluded, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
